A Taste of Madison restaurant winners announced

The Madison-Rivergate Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 14th annual A Taste of Madison, at Goodpasture Christian School. The event drew more than 1,000 people. Twenty-one food vendors participated.
Awards included:

• Best Appetizer: Las Maracas

• Best Booth Display: Buffalo Wild Wings

• Best Fun Food: Krispy Kreme Donuts

• Best Entrée: Woody's Steakhouse

• Best Cold Entrée: Olive Garden

• Best Hot Entrée: Chick-fil-A

• Best Food Presentation: Flour Girls

• Best Vegetable: Outback Steakhouse

• Best Beverage: Kickin' Coffee & Tea

• Best Fruit Dish: K & F Café

• Healthiest Choice: Piccadilly Cafeteria

• Best Dessert: Flour Girls

• Best Side Dish: Richie's

• Best Spicy Food: Buffalo Wild Wings

• People's Choice: Woody's Steakhouse.

The event showcased 26 area businesses in a Business Fair hosted by the Women in Business committee of the Madison-Rivergate Area Chamber. Half of the proceeds from the business booth fees goes toward funding a scholarship that will benefit females in the Madison-Rivergate community who are going directly from high school into the work force.
