Sears will close 21 underperforming stores in April and May

Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based retailer Sears Holdings Corp. will close 21 underperforming stores in April and May, including a location in Columbia, Tenn.
The company said it would close four Sears stores, 13 Kmart stores and four Sears Grand and Sears Essentials stores that also sell groceries. A Sears location on 800 S. James Campbell Blvd. in Columbia will close on May 9.
