State reports 62 layoffs in Tennessee

Tennessee employers reported 62 layoffs to the state of Tennessee for the week ending Monday.
The Liggett Corp. sportwear maker reported last week that is has been laying off 52 people in Obion starting in September of 2008 through July 17, 2010.

Citizens Gas Utility District laid off 10 people in Scott County in February but didn’t report it to the state until last week, according to a report by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
