Craft was most recently CEO and president of barbecue chain Famous Dave's of America. Before that, he was executive vice president of operations for LongHorn Steakhouse.
Jeffrey D. Warne, O'Charley's Inc.'s president and CEO, called Craft a "proven leader with a broad skill set, an impressive track record and deep operational experience."
O'Charley's granted Craft 150,000 non-qualified stock options at an exercise price equal to fair market value on the grant date. The options will vest on Feb. 10, 2012, and expire on Feb. 10, 2015. O'Charley's stock closed at $9.29 per share in Nasdaq trading on Thursday, down 8 cents.
